Gwneir pob ymdrech i sicrhau bod plant sy’n ymuno ag Ysgol Gymraeg Pontardawe, naill ai am eu tro cyntaf yn yr ysgol, neu’n trosglwyddo atom o ysgol arall, yn cael proses esmwyth a chadarnhaol. I rieni sy’n ystyried a ddylent ddod â’u plant atom, rydym bob amser yn hapus i drefnu i ddangos teuluoedd o amgylch ein hysgol ac i drafod unrhyw gwestiynau neu bryderon gyda nhw.
Rydym yn trefnu sesiynau ‘aros a chwarae’ ar gyfer ein disgyblion Meithrin sy’n dod i mewn a sesiynau gwybodaeth i rieni. Rydym yn gwasgaru ein dyddiadau cychwyn ar gyfer disgyblion Meithrin dros y flwyddyn gyda’r mwyafrif yn dechrau diwrnod ar ôl eu pen-blwydd yn 3 oed. Er mwyn cefnogi’r broses hon, gofynnwn i rieni geisio sicrhau bod eu plentyn wedi’i hyfforddi i ddefnyddio’r toiled cyn iddo ddechrau, er bod ein staff yn hapus i gefnogi’r broses hon pan fo angen, wrth gwrs.
Hyfforddiant Toiled
Mae hyfforddiant toiled yn bwysig iawn i’ch plentyn wrth iddo ddechrau ei daith ysgol. Ein nod yw gweithio gyda rhieni i gefnogi eu plentyn i ddatblygu’r sgiliau hyn.
Every effort is made to ensure that children joining Ysgol Gymraeg Pontardawe either for their first time in school, or transferring to us from another school have a smooth and positive process. For parents who are considering whether to bring their children to us, we are always happy to arrange to show families around our school and to discuss any questions or concerns with them.
We arrange ‘stay and play’ sessions for our incoming Nursery pupils and information sessions for parents. We stagger our start dates for Nursery pupils over the year with the majority beginning a day after their 3rd birthday. In order to support this process, we ask that parents try to ensure that their child is toilet trained before they begin, although obviously our staff are happy to support this process when necessary.
Toilet Training
Toilet training is really important for your child as they begin their school journey. We aim to work with parents to support their child in developing these skills.
